Maus 2: And Here My Troubles Began 3/13/26

And here it is, for my 9th book, I have read Maus 2: A Survivor’s Tale: And Here My Troubles Began, by Art Spiegelman.

This book is the second half of the story from the first. During it’s creation, Vladek, Art’s father, does pass away, leaving Spiegelman in a tough spot. Not knowing if what he is doing is right or if he is sharing it correctly. In the beginning of the book, he does talk about the first book and the attention it got, sharing what he had intended the story to be.

This book follows all the same topics as the first. I will say though that this half of the story is harsher then the first, simply for it take place mostly in the camps. There are themes of death, murder, racism, violence, war violence, and more. Read at your own risk, but I highly recommend that you do read it.
